We were looking forward to being right on the river and reserved site 29, River was about 12' across. The other river front sites had a view of a wooded cyclone fence. Cable TV is excellent. With a big rig you need to be very careful in this park. Verizon doesn't work, Cingular does. Electricity was ample. Satellite service works best if you have one of the pull-thrus in the Center RV area. Grounds were well-maintained. Swimming pool was being filled during our stay. This is a really nice place for families to tent camp on the grassy area by the "big" river. Would stay here again with site preferences

I would just like to forewarn any fellow travelers who may be thinking about staying at this place. I made reservations months in advance. The park owners certainly knew how to contact me for my deposit money. They conveniently FAILED to contact me to notify me of a rather big problem in their park. I made reservations for 6 nights for full hook-ups. Full hook-up, in my mind, are a must when traveling with 3 young kids. As soon as I arrived I was informed that the sewer system's septic tank was in need of repair and I was UNABLE to use the sewer hookup. Had the park owners contacted me PRIOR to my arrival I could have either planned for such a deviation or, more than likely, I would have made plans to camp elsewhere. Something tells me the owners sensed the latter. When I asked if the rates would therefore be lower, I was told "no. the rates will remain the same". My trailer has a 15,000 btu air conditioner. I don't know what the problem was, but my a/c would not run during the day at this place. I continuously tripped the circuit breaker. I was not the only one experiencing this problem as some other rv'ers had the same problem. As soon as I returned home I phoned the dealer about my problem. He told me that it was his belief that this park was underpowered and not delivering the amp's necessary to run my a/c. Again, with 3 small children I needed to do without daytime air conditioning the entire time I was there. Thank you, Kaweah Park Resort owners. The entire campground was basically overrun with flies. It was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to enjoy a meal outdoors without constantly swatting pesky, filthy flies from the food. The bathroom.....yes the ONLY bathroom for the entire park...was almost comical at best! This place was so SMALL that I couldn't believe it passed any type of building inspection while being built. I'm not a very large man, but at 5'10" 190 lbs it was a chore using the cramped toilet and showers. These showers didn't have so much as a HOOK to hang a towel or clothing much less a bench to put your belongings on. Everything needed to be placed on the filthy floor. Oh....and what the web site for this place failed to inform us was that the showers are coin operated. The sinks in this restroom were about as small as what you would find in a very small travel trailer. The management had a "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude as if they were running some sort of 5-star resort. Needless to say, this will be my one and ONLY visit to this poor excuse for an RV park. Fellow campers, be forewarned.

A great park on the confluence of the three rivers from which the town gets its name. Sites 28 through 32 are pull in sites facing the river and it is great to hear the water rushing over the rocks. We stayed there out of season and there were only a handful of sites occupied which was great for us. During summer the place is full as it is a jumping-off place for river rafting. Great for families in summer. It is convenient to Sequoia National park for day trips. Be careful when approaching as the entry sign is not immediately clear. When you pass the Best Western start looking out for it on your left and just opposite the Kaweah general Store.
