We were very disappointed, as we expected much more from reading other reviews. There were old run down buildings, old tattered shacks, old washed up debris, old junk, etc. - all scattered around the area around the camp sites down by what is otherwise a very pretty lake. You have to drive through an old working ranch to get to the campground and the ranch itself is pretty overgrazed and unkempt looking. In all fairness to the CG owners/lessees, perhaps the land around the campsite down by the lake is not part of the campground owner's property and so they can't clean it up, but we did not get that impression from the layout and from the obvious freedom to walk freely there from the campsites. The boat launch area is a particularly rough looking spot. The unkempt look - especially from our site down by the lake - certainly detracted from our enjoyment of the weekend, but maybe that is just us. If all one is interested in is getting down to the lake, to boat or ski or fish - then I guess it is a fine campground, but if you are looking for any sort of aesthetics or leisure walking, then this CG will disappoint. The staff was very nice though and restroom/shower facilities and pool area were very clean and well kept. There appeared to be several 'permanents' who were living over by the boat launch area and they were mowing and making racket all weekend, but then there is boat and ski-doo noise from the lake anyway - so no big deal really. Also one should know that to get to the CG -you have to go a couple of miles through a residential subdivision with winding steep hills to get down into the ranch and the campground - so be prepared to put your MH or TV in low gear and take it easy and watch for the important signs of where to turn to get to CG.
