Big Bay is located on Madeline Island, which is one of the 22 Apostle Islands. The park was very clean as were the facilities. The trails were well groomed with wonderful views, however they could be marked a little better. The beach seems like it goes on forever so there is plenty of space and although the water is cold, it was crystal clear even 50 yards out. You need to take a ferry to get to Madeline Island which is very easy. Only problem is there are very few places on the island for supplies and ice and wood is a little on the pricey side, so it's best to get as much as you need from the mainland. Campsites were well spaced and large. This park was a wonderful place to visit!

Received from JJ for visit in Aug 2007
