Beautiful forest campground with plenty of opportunity for light hiking (adventurous hiking is also avilable nearby). I've camped here many times; if you want a nature environment, you won't be disappointed. Large, private sites. Cameron Lake is nearby, though the water is a bit chilly. The beach in Parksville is about a 15 minute drive. Rathtrevor is the place to go if you want to camp at the beach; Little Qualicum is a great backup if you can't get a site there. Important tip: the campsite has upper and lower sections. The lower sections are more impressive - more like the old growth forest - but have real bug problems. Choose an upper campsite that gets more sunlight.
