The price is right! The location is outstanding! The sites are mostly level. But, the bathhouse is in dire need of updating. They have brought in more porta potties to help with the bathroom issues. For the size of this great park they could use some more. Plus, there is an enormous geese problem here. I counted at least 50-60 of them. They leave behind their droppings and it makes for a mess. The electric seemed to work well. This site (33) has water but we just used out onboard water. The dump station is located a good bit from the campground. The lake (Nickajack) is very tempting. There is a boat launch just about one third of a mile from the sites. There is not a pool or picnic tables here. Cable or wifi is not available. There does seem to be a fire ring or pit in almost every site. Plus, there are an abundance of trash cans located everywhere. This did help with the cleanliness of the park. The manager was friendly and has been there a long time. I would stay here again based on the price and the location. And, this is a great place to stop overnight. However, based on the geese and other factors I must give this place a 6.

We truly enjoyed this campground and plan to stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful! The area is beautiful and convenient to Chattanooga. The rates were also very reasonable - $17/night for the water/electric site. Our site was in the middle not lake front but was still very enjoyable. Limitless places to walk lake front and to fish from the bank. We travel with 3 dogs and this campground was great for them! My husband rates our trips by his fishing experience and this is one of his top picks to return to. He fished from the bank but there is a boat ramp and fishing pier also. There is also a small area of the lake roped off for swimming. If you manage to get a lake front site you can fish from right there! I attached some pictures, sorry did not get a good pic of the campsites but I was caught up in the beautiful lake scenery. The sites are gravel and level, most are pull through although some on the lake are back in. All RV sites have water and electric. There is a dump station onsite. There was an issue with the men’s restroom while we were there but the staff worked to resolve it immediately. We stayed on a weekend and it was crowded but still very enjoyable! The park has camping facilities, a swimming area, a playground covered picnic area, plus picnic tables scattered throughout the park. There are two boat ramps to accommodate the boating traffic. I have toy hauler with motorcycles. I was in Birmingham at the Barber Superbike races, afterwords I wanted to go to Deal's Gap (Knoxville) area and ride for following week. I had to leave Sunday night after the races. My fellow campers at the races were from Chattanooga & gave me a head's up. It's great. Very scenic. Had drive through, very convenient when you get there late. Park is on a peninsula on the lake. Had a great view of the lake & full moon. Not a lot of congestions. The park operator was very nice. Not too far from Chattanooga. Sites have electric & water. Many are drive through. Central dump station. Not very expensive. I really liked it. Just off the highway too. Just pulled in & paid in the morning. In the morning, I rode my motorcycle around the Tenn River Gorge & TVA. Going to stay there another day or two next time and visit some in the City.

We stayed in this park in a travel trailer. It seems to have had around 40 sites sit up for RV's and just about that number sit up for tent sites. The sites were fairly level. Each site was marked with gravel and had water and electricity. The power supply seemed to work well. The grass was neatly mowed and trimmed. This park is located on Nickajack Lake in Jasper TN. The main issue that bothered me was the geese. Yes, there were hundreds of them and they left their mark right on the camping areas. They deposited their droppings everywhere. One other issue we had was the reservations system. It was poor at best. The park contained lots of amenities. It had a boat ramp that looked very serviceable. The playground was in good repair. They had a theater area that looked like music was played there often. There was a fishing pier that went about 50 feet out into the lake. They had a swimming area that was well marked. The 2 bathhouses were fairly clean but appeared to be very old. It needed some work. The management must have issues with the bathhouses. They had portal potties through out the park. I guess they were needed because of the size of the park. I would guess that it was about 10 acres with about 2 acres devoted to the camping area. There were trees when one took a site away from the lake. Otherwise, the lakes front sites were all without shade. Overall, I would stay here again.
