The park is brand new and our visit was early in the camping season so the facilities were very clean. We camped in the Red Oak loop, the only loop in the park with water/electric hook ups. The sites are large with gravel parking, a fire ring, picnic table and lantern stand. There is a large sand filled tent spot on each site. The sites are spaced nicely with plenty of room for privacy. The only downside in the camping loop is that the bathrooms are at one end of the loop so you are facing a hike in the middle of the night if your camper doesn't have a bathroom. When we visited the dishwashing sink had the water turned off which was frustrating. The restroom has five shower rooms on the outside with hot water. There are hiking trails all around the park which are only moderately difficult. My 2 and 4 year old children hiked by themselves for the majority of the hiking we did so the trails are easy. There are several ponds at the park. Branch pond has wheelchair accessible decking all the way around it which makes fishing substantially easier with children. (No falling into the water!) Primitive camping sites are available on the rivers edge but they only allow tent camping. Overall this park is very nice for a quiet relaxing camping experience. There is no swimming area here so I think it would be less appealing to families with small children during the summer.
