I cannot speak for the campgrounds, but we used to visit the beach of Harsha Lake, until they took out the shower heads in the bath facility (plus the facility is a bit run down). They also no longer have trash cans. You have to take your own trash with you. If the state of Ohio can improve the situation, maybe we would start going back. I have heard from some people who camp there, that it would help to have an access road between the campgrounds and the beach.

This a good quality, solid state park. You get what you'd expect: big sites and clean but not pristine bath houses. To get to the store if you have forgotten something, it will take you a little bit of time. Additionally, not every part of this park is quickly accessible from the campgroud. For example to get to the beach of Harsha Lake from the campground, you must drive 15 minutes! There are very few (count them, 2) full services sites at this park at the time of me writing this. They are not in the best locations, as they are nestled next to the cabins. There are numerous grey water dump areas that are clearly marked. The water spigets are not threaded, so you must either fill up bucket by bucket or have a water thief. My biggest recommendation for this park is to reserved and research before going. There is a huge discrepancy in sites. Some, quite frankly, suck and are small and in the full sun. Others are large, shaded and private. The loops that are first-come, first-serve with no reservations are not nearly as nice as the reservable areas.
