We have stayed at Crystal Lake for many years in the pass, but have taken a 2 year break because we were not happy with the service. We decided to try again (family of 20) this year and we were not disappointed. We had two cabins the M59 and T133 both were clean, air working great and had full kitchens. We rented fishing boats, pantoon boats and a golf cart. My mom was in a wheelchair and my daughter has a condition were she can not walk long, they allowed us to keep the golf cart over night so we could tranport my mom and my daughter use it to drive around. The place was clean, the beach area could have been bigger but the little kids love it. Pool is hugh, and the bar was fun on the week-ends. We plan on going back again.

I find it unbeleivable that as hot as it is 2 times in the 2 weeks I have been staying here we have not had waterin the public bathrooms. That is very unsanitary.

Wow, what a disappointment. Place is not what it used to be. Lots of flooding problems, Pool not open on Memorial Day weekend. General store, empty. Sites overbooked. 800 number calls some office in NY-Not Crystal Lake. You are talking to somebody who has never been to their own campground. And who does not know what "self-contained unit" means. Complain and get a free future weekend stay...If you want.

Seasonial for many years. Park has new owners and things went down fast. Park lost alot of vendors and store was empty at times. Managers hard to find and do not care about park. Pool closed and heater not working. NOT a kid friendly park. Parking lot full of old boats with garbage trapped under them.

We had planned to stay at this campground for 5 days. Upon arrival we were extremely disappointed. The site had absolutely no trees and was just about on top of the site next to us. Not even enough room to park our truck. We asked for a refund and were told we could stay at one of there other campgrounds(which would be even further away). I refused and was given a refund. This campground was nothing like the website made it sound. I will never go back!

This campgound has a lot of seasonal sites, so the weekenders are kind of an afterthought. However if you can get a site in 'the valley' area it is not bad. The sites there are flat and shaded, the roads are paved, and the ungrassed areas are covered with woodmulch ( much better than gravel alot of other campgrounds have). If they try to put you into the 'hanger' area, don't stay , just find somewhere else to go. The lake beach is nice, as well as the pool, but the pool is unheated and the weekdend we were there the pool water was uncomfortable cool. For being on a penninsula there is very little of the lake accessable for shore fishing. The store is reasonable, there is a bar on site that is fun, but the service at the restaraunt was terrible ( so don't plan on eating there after set-up like we did). All in all we did have a nice site and a good time.

A campground that very heavliy favors its permenant residents. The staff seem impatient with weekend campers. The campsites are in the open, uneven, and not within walking distance of the beach. The lake is pretty. Its a very loud and noisy place, I would not go back.
