We toured Sunrise twice before requesting a site there for our 5th wheel. We planned on staying there while we searched for a park model to buy at the park. We were given a list of the available sites by the office staff; we looked at the sites and chose the one we liked from the list. We were told that we had to write a personal check for $150 to secure the site. Because we didn't plan to move into the park for a week, we made a 3rd trip to the park to pay the requested deposit. Three day's BEFORE our arrival date, the Sunrise office staff called our cell phone and said that they had given our site to another party. They requested that we choose another site! We were disappointed (and angry) at their lack of consideration, so we decided to find a different park. When we asked for our deposit back, the park manager refused. Saying the only condition that they refund money was for severe illnesses! After I warned the manager that I intended to sue them for the refund and expenses, she relented and ageed to send a check for the $150 deposit. We did not stay at the Sunrise R.V. Resort and WILL NOT stay there anytime in the future! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Top notch place - you don't get rated #2 in the country for nothing. Plenty of space, grass, trees, concrete slabs, etc. Only downside is they used indoor cable for the CATV in the park so the signal is weak. All the local Las Vegas channels can be picked up with an antenna. Also they've removed the picnic tables from the sites this spring - don't know why and didn't ask. Terry B's comments are in error - all sites are full hookup and none are on dirt/sand. Must have been staying somewhere else.

This park is a veritable oasis in Nevada. Absolutely stunning. They have done it up right with gorgeous views, great sites, fantastic amenities, very big rig friendly, and excellent people working there. Very convenient to casino and restaurant with good food at good prices. My only complaint is that their wi-fi is through Coachnet, and it works very, very poorly, reflecting badly on the campground. Otherwise, an outstanding place.

The site we were on was dirt with water and electric hookups. Some full hookup sites were available. Facilities were functional but in need of upgrading in my opinion. Very close to LL Bean. Good Sam discount.

Very nice RV park with lakeside sites. There is a nice casino on site as well as an excellent restaurant with cheap, good meals. Both buffet and menu items avalable. A good place to relax and catch up. They allow washing the RV in your site. Good landscaping and the trees don't obstruct the view of the satellite.

The grounds are very well kept. They have a lake that you can fish for free. Its catch and release. They have peddle boats and kayaks you can use for free during your stay. They have a little beach you can swim at or they have a nice pool area. The restrooms and showers were very clean and thay also have laundry facilities. There is a nice restaurant in the small casino, the prices are very reasonable and the amount of food you get is, well you wont leave hungry. There is a nice playground for kids. Our site was right next to the playground, we have 2 small girls and they played there all day. The rates are reasonable also, $22.00 sun-thurs. and $26.00 sat & holidays.
