Fun place for families with kids. Fun to climb, sled, run on sand dunes. Pedal-boat, canoe, or kayak on the lake. We went in mid-June and the park was half-empty. So quiet and fun without crowds and noise. I understand July and Aug are a different story, as that is when crowds arrive and park is full until Labor Day.

A wonderful place to camp; the campsites are spacious and private; you have a choice of a tent site; yurts, RV with full hookups...the only missing is wi- fi; the trees, ferns, and rhododendrum in the campground in the early summer are lovely; the campground is huge with parks, free hot showers, dump station all well maintained; it is also walking distance to a small lake where you can paddle; you can also hike in the nearby dunes.

Best Campground in the state. Has all the amenities for a family. The beautiful treed lake which you can bike, walk or drive to has numerous things to do such as pedal boats, canoes, swimming, sun bathing on the beach or get a snack at the great snack shack/convience store just feet from the water, on the other side you can can sand surf on the dunes. The campground has a big park for the kids and numerous tent and RV sites that are all wooded. The bathrooms are decent and have hot showers. Just a couple miles up the road you can rent quads and go out on the dunes for some more adult fun or you can bring your own and stay in seperate part of the campground (away from the kids and families) where you can access the dunes from your campsite. Not to mention how close you are to the beach. It's the best of all worlds!
