Great place. Campground shaded but not much grass, sites open with table, firering which we didn't use with 100+ temps-nice campstore, has restruant but didn't try. We were there for the cave tours, the 3 we took were all different and most interesting not to mention cool temps, nice ranger talks in evening, great hiking, bike trails. Lots to do in area including shopping, flea market in Bowling Green, enjoyed Corvette Musuem,Cave City, Horse Cave.

Great location for seeing Caves in area, including Mammoth National Park. Mail is accepted. Fishing pond-do not need to buy license. Good sites for Datastorm users and satellite TV.

The campground is 1/4 mile from the park visitor center and has 105 sites. It is a wooded campground with mature trees throughout. Sites are open due to lack of underbrush. Each site has a paved parking area, picninc table, and fire ring. There are no hookups for electricity or water, but there is a dump station at the Service Center. Pay showers are also located at the Service Center. 2 out of the 3 showers taken were freezing cold. Flush toliets are located in the campground. Site 78 is one of the better sites, as it is at the end of a loop and has lots of open area in the back. Other nice sites are 73, 80, 87, 89, 71, 55, 59, 30, and 36. The cave is amazing. Other nearby attractions are Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site and Dinosaur World.
