I actually began camping here about 6-7 years ago. After 2 years of camping there several weekends during the summer, I began working in the office for a few summers and I absolutely loved it. The owners, Margie & Tom McDuffie go above and beyond what standard campgrounds do to keep their customers happy. All the employees do. If you want to stay on a popular weekend or especially a Holiday weekend, you better plan on booking about 6 months-1 year in advance. That is just one example of how popular the place is. All the extras (boat slips, pool, store, golf cart rental, private bathrooms, gas dock for boats, playground, and the Marina building) are what really set this place apart from the basic campground. My parents still go often and still love it as much now as they did years ago. :) Recommend to anyone.

Decision that we would not return says nothing bad about this elaborate and well-executed park. No scrimping when this place was built. Level well-graveled sites. Perhaps the finest bathhouse we've seen in our travels. IMHO this operation is set up for and caters to the big rigs. Which we are not. We prefer tree-shaded, more spacious campgrounds. Lots of in-state people here for the weekend and they were delighted w. Crooked Creek.

Clean campground located along the banks of Lake Keowee. Bathroom facilities were super modern and always extremely clean. Most sites are nice and large, however, we had an extremely small unlevel site once. Staff was always friendly.
