First time staying there in our 45ft provost bus they were very accommodating as the park was pretty full and we had no reservations, the people over at the office were always very very nice, we had to move once because people had reserves our spot but they put us in another nice spot both all concrete, the park is spotless and well manicured, there prices seemed great, we already reserved all next summer, We had reservations we could not keep because our Bus was in the shop and they even worked around that, Great People, Thanks Griffs !!

Please also note that the campground office is not located on site, but is almost 2 miles away. If you can get over that oddity, this is a nice place to camp. The owners have recently doubled the size of the campground and have added wide, landscaped and paved sites to the back section, in addition to new facilities buildings housing laundry, showers, a rec room and the like (these new buildings won't be completed until July 2007, though). THE PROS: very friendly staff, low rates, a playground for the kids, a horseshoe pit for the adults, WiFi access (for a fee), wide paved and landscaped sites, paved inner roads, nice peaceful location far (but not too far) away from "the city". Adventureland Park is less than 2 miles away, as are Prairie Meadows Casino, much shopping, and a lot of nice restaurants. THE CONS: No pool, no cable TV, and the office is not on site.

Stay Again? YES
I had planned to stay at this campground for 8 months. When we called they stated they preferred long term campers. We asked if they had cement slabs and were told yes. We asked if they had WiFi and they said yes. The Rate was $405 per month and there are no activities at this campground. When we arrived in our 32' motorhome we were given a rocked campsite (not a paved site like we were told). Even though there were over 20 paved sites that were not being used. The site was not level and my front wheels were completely off the ground. My wife complained to the office and they said thats too bad. So my wife complained louder that she wanted a cement pad like she was promised. They said no you can have a different rocked site. My wife complained even louder. They finally came to the site and noticed how the camper was sitting. They finally (reluctantly) gave us a cement pad (which we were told on the phone we would have). After the move to the cement pad they would not come out and turn the water on at the site. They said we needed to flag some other guy down to do that. We finally just did it ourselves with a wrench (took a bit since it was designed for a key and the wrench didnt fit well). Well after this type of service we were not happy and we decided that they were not interested in our money. So we left the campground after only 2 days. Also note that the other long term campers were similarly dissastisfied with there experience at Griffs Valley View. I would not recommend anyone stay here. They do not seem to want to be bothered by us campers even if we have money.
