We have camped at Montauk twice. Both times we tent camped. It was immaculate, people were friendly, we rode our bikes everywhere and enjoyed it very much! In fact we already have some dates booked this year and are bringing friends with us.

We have been going here for 40 years. My husband & I even honeymooned there. Now our whole family (kids & grandkids) go several times a year. You can't beat this place. It's clean, quiet & the kids are safe here. They can ride bikes, hike & most of all fish.

We camp here at least twice every season. My husband is a trout fisherman. But, this campground is for everyone. As the previous poster stated, there are lots of hiking trails and playgrounds too. Some of our extended family members take their bicycles to ride. The campsites are wide and deep. Each campsite is paved; and each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. The bathroom/showers are spotless. This is one of our family's favorite destinations. If you plan to camp here, you will need to make reservations early, because it is always full on weekends. My first picture is an October picture at our campsite. The other two pictures are of my husband trout fishing.

Let me start this revie by saying, Im not a fisherman. This park is most known for its trout fishing. They have a trout hatchery that is fun though, you can feed the fish (bring quarters for food). They have a motel and cabins in the park for you non camper owners. we use to stay in their lodging, and it was clean. the campgrounds restrooms are clean and the whole park is very tidy and well groomed. Im pretty sure all the electric sites have a paved driveway. All sites that i\'ve seen are very spacious and level. Nice playgrounds for kids. My favorite park of this park is the resteraunt. We get the breakfast buffet each day, and its great! Forget Cell phone reception in the park, at least I cant seem to get any. There is a walmart about 20-30 minutes away, in case you forget something at home. I havent walked any of the trails yet, but I heard there are a few. Im a big fan of camping in missouri state parks, they are great!
