No shade, horrible sewage smell,No seeums chase you inside. Also tent campers are placed within the area of R V sites. Loud music went on till 1:30AM. It started again at 5:00PM. I went to the office and they said that there was nothing they could do as it was a family campground!! They also lied to us about the sewage smell saying it was from the mangrove plants.

Expensive! Other than the nice pool, there's almost nothing there to justify it at half the price. Pine Island has no beaches, small scruffy "working" waterfront areas, and no activities - this is NOT a typical Florida barrier island with lovely homes, people and businesses!. There's a number of "seasonals" left from pre-KOA days. The CG open-air private sewer system is in the middle of the park, and the smell was everywhere - worst at the rental cabins and tent sites. Those poor tenting families! Ft. Myers is about 30 minutes drive - KOA really stretched the bounds using the name. Even with any improvements since my stay, I wouldn't recommend it.

We love this campground and have stayed here many times. It is kept very clean including the bathrooms and the staff are very nice. The island is very intresting to explore. So want to relax and so down this is a charm island to be on.

Quiet and clean KOA with helpful and friendly staff. However, it is not real great for children (not much to do on Pine Island, better to stay near Ft. Myers). This campground is good for the 55+ crowd. Campground sites have odd layout and sizes. Our 30 foot travel trailer did not fit on our requested site by the lake. Big rigs and 5th wheels may have problems. It is also expensive relative to what it offers.
