We stayed at Ottowa Lake, and unfortunately, were in a sight about 100 yards from the highway. Not very relaxing, and difficult to sleep with the trucks roaring by all night. I was also disappointed that there were 'No Pets' signs on all the trails...I am sure they have trails for dogs, but as I understand, are far from the campground. The campsights were nice and large, went home with a few ticks! I would recommend this campground, just not the sights around the edge of the highway.

Park was wonderful! Facilities were clean and staff was helpful. Lots to do in the Kettle Moraine if you like to walk/hike, however there is no playground here for kids. We walked in and got one of the last non-reservable sites left in the forest, so you you need to book many months in advance. Look forward to going back!

Stayed in Ottawa Lake Campground. This CG has changed a lot in the last 20 years! More trees, more shade, more privacy. Sites are huge, with gravel pads, fire rings & picnic tables. Nearly all the sites around the edge are non-electric; most private sites are better for tents than RVs. This park is busy and popular - reservations needed for weekend stays. Despite being full, it was relatively quiet. Young staff at check-in station were pleasant, friendly & helpful. There's a small lake with swimming beach, playground, and fishing pier, and amphitheater for ranger presentations. Also a handicapped-accessible cabin with bathroom & kitchen facilities (for disabled visitors only - reservable by calling the park directly). Bathroom buildings older but kept clean; laundry facilities (washers & dryers) at one bathroom - rare for a state park!

Stayed in Pike Lake Unit. Wonderful state park. Staff was helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean with plenty of hot water. Sites were wooded and clean with space between them. Lake was fun and clean. Only downside was it was about 2 miles from campground. Trails were spacious and well groomed with a lookout tower that let you see for miles! Would come back in a second!
