We had reservations here for Memorial Day weekend, but due to the remodeling not being done, they were canceled. When we made it down in July, what a change from 2007!!!! The place looked like a designer landscaper came in and took over. It was beautiful, the restrooms were nice and the new docks were great for fishing off of. The only downsides were that they ripped out alot of the trees that had been there so there was less shade, the pool was too small for the number of people.

we tent camped. site did have a small roofed area in case of rain, this proved to be very handy throughout the stay. small store at entrance with supplies. staff was very friendly. there was a nce dock at the back of the property. this was lighted at night and seemed to be a hangout for the kids. i took the boys up there after dark and did a little crabbing and fishing. although crowded this was a very relaxing time of the day. the restrooms were however, the worst part of the stay;old and not very well maintained.we are still planning to go back next year.

Place has not been remodeled since the 60's. The bath house shower head is 10 feet in the air, no A/C, dirty and the water is on a timer with no temp control. The laundry mat has some old 70's machines that were half broke and no A/C. The pool is too small and was cloudy. The sewer system was above ground ( you have to see it to belive it ) and backed up mid week and never got fixed. The fire wood was too green to burn. The cable I had to tap into a neighbors trailer park style trailer to get. I used 75 feet of cable for a fuzzy picture. The place is full of trailer park trailers that are ancient and painted with a brush. The bay sites were nice and the beach aera was decent. Close to OC. Poorly marked sites. They tried to put a 40' bus in a spot where a pop up would barely fit and tents in a 40' bus space. Very small playground. Make your own decision but I warned you.

They have full hookups, including cable TV, small swimming pool, beach with bay access, camp store, laundromat and spacious sites. There is a road by the campground, but it is the road that goes through the campground. The staff was friendly. Campground is very convenient to stores, restaurants and roadside fruit/veggie stands. Campground is about 5 miles from Ocean City and 5 miles from Assateague Island. You pay $4 per person for the state park, or $10/for seven days at the National Seashore. The beach at the national seashore is awesome and I recommend it over OC beaches. The only bad news is that the owner wants to develop the site into townehouses/condos so someday this place may no longer exist.
