Nice campsite and good size too. It was fun to watch the fireworks from the park as they were across the lake on the dunes. A little disappointed in some of the showers as the heads need replacing and some seem to need repaired. Water temperature for taking showers was good. It was a fun time for the 4th in 2012!

Cons: Very busy, popular campground, difficult to get reservations. Pros: It is worth it for the spectacular, huge beach. Water is shallow in swimming area with sandy bottom. Excellent for kids. There is a lot to do at the campground, between the trails, lighthouse, camp store, craft events for the kids, and dunes. The city is also nearby with a lot of stores and summer festivals. Beautiful area. Have camped here 3 times, and will again.

Pros: great hiking trails, beautiful walk-way on Hamond lake, offers a variety for fishing options. Cons: very popular, camps sites are close together, no privacy at most sites.

Pros: Location, activities, beautiful scenery/WIFI available Cons: Very popular be sure to make reservations! This is an outstanding state park.Clean facilities, some sites in Pines campground back up to the dunes over which you find the gorgeous beach. On clear nights with a good moon you can walk the beach to the lighthouse. Fisherman love this park, facilities to clean fish are available. Many trails, paved sidewalk walkways, great little campstore with ice cream, souvenirs, etc. Miles of beach on Lake Michigan. Many shops in nearby Ludington.
