This is a clean well maintained resort. There are theme parties, and the facility is convenient to Myrtle Beach attractions. The staff is helpful and welcoming. A five star RV resort!!

We stayed here three times and have always had issues with changing of the site that we requested. Just had to cancel our reservations due to hurricane Sandy in the area. SC state government has warnings in affect for wrong winds and several inches of rain expected. Willowtree would not let us change our reservation to another weekend unless we put down another $50.00 deposit which we lost this weekend by canceling this weekend. Poor customer services.

Nice place but very over priced, not much in the area to do.

Have stayed at Willow Tree at least once a month over the past 14 months. Fell in Love with the place. Used to stay at one of the campgrounds on the ocean front and they were nice, but when we found this campground we could not get over how well we were treated by the staff. The campground is always clean and well maintained and they go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. As stated before the bath house is the best I have ever seen before. Located out in the country a little way but still close enough that you can be on the beach with in 20 minutes. The Lake on the campground is large and they have an area roped off for swimming and a big floating funhouse on the lake for the kids.

Large sites with landscaping, concrete pad, grill and fire ring. Family oriented and well maintained. Excellent for biking around the lake plus fishing. Very clean throughout campground and staff willing to help. Have stayed here three times in last two years in motorhome. We are golfers and Myrtle Beach courses are easily accessible nearby and throughout MB from campground.

The previous reviews this resort received prompted us to give this place a try. We're so glad we did. This park is in a class of it's own. We stayed in one of the "Fun Sites", off of the lake - in the trees. The design is exceptional - plenty of room per site, sites on the lake and sites in the trees. Pull through sites dominate. Clean at every turn. The bathrooms, with your own personal room, (dressing, toilet, shower, sink) are unlike any other that I have seen. The spacious lake with asphalt path all around was especially nice. My daughter even caught her first fish in it! We loved the golf cart trips around the lake and early morning "fishing trips" in the cart to find the "big one". The only improvement they could make would be to heat the very nice pool for the fringe months, although the hot tub was very nice and large. It just seems that there is a real commitment to the total RV experience at this place. We felt that the location was optimal and offered a great launching point for the Grand Strand. While it was out in the quiet countryside, we never felt it a chore to drive anywhere. We will definitely camp here again when in the area.

Excellent place! Just enough to do and close enough to Myrtle Beach without all the hub bub. Clean, big sites, beautiful lake, wildlife, can't wait to go back.

This is without quesiton the nicest campground in the Myrtle Beach area, alas it is not on the beach. The best bathrooms I've ever seen in a campground and we've been campers since 1973. Willowtree is truly an RV resort.

Willow Tree may be the nicest new campground in the South!! I'm very impressed by their bath house. Each 'room' is a real bathroom with sink, toilet and shower, large enough to be really comfortable. Some of the "Premium" sites even have hot tubs! Each site is level with a concrete pad - almost all are pull thrus and every one is big rig friendly. The lake is beautiful and as was said before, the area is very, very peaceful.

This resort, about 14 miles west of Myrtle Beach, has 60+ full hookup sites that are - very large and nestled in the tall trees or set along a gorgeous lake. We stayed for 3 weeks in 2 different sites. Site 8 (lakefront) and Site 16 (Lakefront/hot tub). Paved sites/roads. 90% of the sites have new cement patios - all have very large fire rings - firewood 4 sale at the office. 40+ new sites were under construction - with completion expected in the fall of 2006. The pool and community hot tub - open all year. The resort property is massive and absolutely beautiful - far away from major highways - tall trees line the perimeter. Entrance to the park (gated at night) is off 905 - 1 mile back - a beautiful drive. The lake path is 1 mile and marked in feet for those who like to keep track of their distance. Canoes, paddle boats and a few golf carts for rent. Our 1st week site (#8) was beside a path to the small bridge to the main office / pool area. Though traffic along this route not too bad this time of year - it could be a nuisance during the peak season. The bathhouse consists of 8 separate rooms (1 handicap accessible) with separate doors - deadbolt locks. Stool and sink, large fiberglass shower w/2 seats, wood bench and shelfs in changing area. Large lights at each bath door - so campsites near here might not like the bright lights at night. This resort offers winter and pre-season discount rates -- so you can get a lakefront site for 28/night in the winter. No cable here but satellite worked fine - 30 min/day free WiFi after that you must pay $5.95/day, $25/Week or $35/month. Signal strength varied @ site 8 - from excellent to good. Signal strength @ site 16 - consistently very good. Resort is installing a bigger WiFi satellite to improve service and no doubt to reach the new sites. Though the premium and lakefront sites are really expensive during peak season - they are spectacular. Many of the fun sites (middle of the CG) are really nice - but i would avoid the last 2 rows -if you want shade. Sites opposite the lake are closer to current construction - and an issue only M-F until after Fall 2006. The bike/walking paths are outstanding. 1st pic sites 8 / 7 (left to right); 2nd/3rd pic site 16; Last pic view from lake pathway. Outstanding resort - we will visit often.

On the second voyage of our popup, we landed in the North Myrtle Beach area at Willow Tree. Excellent CG with level, paved sites, plenty of pull throughs, and spacious sites. Bath houses were super clean with 8 shower/toilet/sink units. The way the roads go in the park, the bath house was a little hard to get through depending on where you were. We'll be asking for a closer space next time. There is a great pool, kiddie pool with sprinklers, and hot tub. Pretty good game room, limited camp store, and a nice playground. The lake is enormous, with boats for rent and some pretty big bass (who managed to not be fooled by my lures!). There is a nice paved path around the lake to walk around. Lots of golf carts, but not to the point of being obnoxious. This isn't really on the beach, so you have plenty of trees and fire rings for those who love the campfire. We will definitely be going back. Hopefully for more than just 2 nights!

This is a great quiet place located along a beautiful lake. Sites are large and the signature sites have hot tubs and face the lake. Great place to relax.
