We went memorial day weekend. There were a ton of activities for the kids which was nice. I gave it a 4 because there was only one working shower in the womens bathroom. We also signed the kids up for the wagon ride abd they left 5 mins before and gave the seats away. If its going to rain I highly suggest not staying at site #431-434 they flooded badly abd there was a ton of mud.

We were first year seasonals and found that the campground to be the best around the STL area for activities and cleanliness, this past year was a weeding out process to get some of the seasonal campers with negative attitudes and firmly believe that the campground is headed in the right direction for all to enjoy.

the sites were OK and the fishing was OK but they rape you on everything. bundle of fire wood was $30. The owners son is out trying to get with every girl in the campground. married or not. Its almost like the new owners came to this campground just to squeeze every dime and nickel they could out of it until it will be nothing.

This campground has gone steadily downhill since new owners got it a couple years ago. Few activities and most cost money now. Lake is in bad shape and fishing is all but gone except bluegill. 2 of 6 docks are gone or broken down. Very old gravel/dirt roads are nothing but dust when dry and mud when wet. Used to be full of families, lots of kids activities, great fishing, and bands and potlucks and other activities for adults. Now the place hardly has anyone there and little to do.

We have been staying at this campgrounds since 1994 and both DH and I had stayed there in prior years before we were there together. This cgs has planned activities for the children as well as for the adults which you can view on their website. The bathhouses are clean and well maintained. The sites are larger than a lot of the ones I have seen and/or stayed at. We have made many friends while camping there and tons of great memories. Our DS and his GF, as well as my DS\'s best friend, are now camping there even when we do not. It is a little more expensive than a lot of other places but we still love it there. DateofStay: Have been staying there for the last 12 yrs.
