Easy on, easy off from highway 40. Sites clean and I had made a reservation so the owner had a nice grassy site ready for us. The old motel is registered as a national historic site and lots of history in that beat up old office!! Walk to restaurants and the owner was pleasant and wanted our stay to be comfortable.

This RV Park is on the property of an old Route 66 Motel and some of the interesting old buildings are still there. Nice level pull through sites, with very adequate facilities at a fair price. WiFi works great and cable TV is available. Most sites are shaded. We stay here in the spring and fall when we are traveling to and from work in Colorado. Easily accessible off old Route 66. Andy is very friendly and helpful...staying right with you until you are parked. We will stay here every time we are in Tucumcari, NM

We checked into the Cactus RV Park in Tucumcari, NM for a one night layover on our way home to Texas from Santa Fe, NM and we were very impressed. The host who met us and assisted us to our location was very pleasant and helpful and the facility was very clean. Wifi and cable worked perfectly. We found this in Passport America and found their description accurate. It is rated as 3*s in Woodalls and is every bit of that.

I'm uprating my first opinion of this campground. It is an interesting place considering it's prior use an old Route 66 motel. The main part of the park is the old parking lot of the motel, but, there are other sites back in the back and sides. The place was vitually full both nights we stayed there. The sites are large with full hookups and wi-fi that worked when it was on. For some reason, it is turned off part of the time. There is a good restaurant about 100 feet away, Del's restaurant.

Great for overnite or a couple days. No frills but for some of us we don't need the frills. Also is a Passport America park which is great too. Hookups fine> WIFI great. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Would definetly stop here again if in the area

PARK OPINION. We checked into the Cactus RV Park in Tucumcari, NM this afternoon (7/16/07) for a one night layover on our way from CT to AZ and we were VERY FAVORABLY IMPRESSED! The host who met us and assisted us to our location was very pleasant and helpful and the facility was very clean and well maintained. Everything was available and working - all hookups including cable TV and WiFi. The current management is obviously trying to make this an attractive stopover park and in our opinion, they are doing very well. Thank you Cactus RV. Peggy and Fred Harris Old Lyme, CT

Once you get past the 'old' office which needs remodeling it is a very nice clean and well maintained park. Spacious shaded level gravel pull-thru sites. Hookups convenient. Free cable TV and secure WiFi. Management very friendly. With all of the amenities it is a good value for the money. Easy walk to Del's for dinner.
