*Pros: Campground & facilities are clean, staff was friendly, online reservation was easy to make, CG is close to VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences) a MUST see. *Cons: Insanely huge "speed bump" is what greets you as you enter the CG (its more like a "speed mountain", watch your RV), the pool closed at 7pm on a hot August evening (it doesn't even get dark until 9ish!), the sites are tight/they pack you in without a lot of personal space *All in all we had a pleasant two night stay in our 26' fifth wheel w/full hookups & would return for a short weekend stay. There is, however, room for improvement!

Got the run around at check-in regarding our site. Good thing I had the internet print out. Not a good place for kids at all. Most of the campground is on a step hillside. Not good for bikes. Sites are all small and not private. Pool is pretty plain and small. Playground is tiny. We went a little too quickly by the office one morning. Probably 10 - 15 in a 5 zone. Guy came out and we were overly apologetic. He went up one side of us and down the other. Swore in front of two young kids. We left baffled, as we knew we were in the wrong, but definitely didn't deserve to be treated that way.

This was our second stay at PVRV Resort. But it may have been our last. A group of us scheduled a rally early in the spring with the previous owners. When KOA took over the reservations were lost. Then found. Then forgotten etc. a Site or two that were reserved were filled and had to be moved and deposit money/confirmed reservations were lost. Dealing with the new KOA staff/owner was not a good experience for the majority of our group which was originally 14 family/units. We are not a rowdy group of people, rather families with younger children that respect other campers and CG facilities and property. 10 Couples couldn't help but shake thier heads and wonder what we had done to be given the opinion that we were 'less than desirable.' Still I will give this CG the same treatment as others. I will be unbiased. The CG facilities appear to remain in good order with the exception of the playground equipment which needs some maintenance done to it. The sites were well maintained as were the roads through out. The store is modest but has the essentials. Bathrooms were in good condition. Draw backs are road noise in the lower portion of the CG, some shared services and a lack of planned activities for children. Still the area attractions make the campground a good step off point. Perhaps the issues we ran into were transitional in nature but a course in Customer Service/relations would not hurt for the Staff and would only help KOAs and the CG reputation.

Clean, quiet campground with friendly and helpful staff. Only drawback was low voltage on a warm night with all RVs running their a/c's. Would stay again.

Just a note of information that this campground is now, for the 2007 season, a KOA campground.

Park was clean, well landscaped, staff friendly and accommadating. Electrical power on the low side but useable, water pressure good. Store well supplied, amenities within park, pool, playground, etc. very good. Did not use their restroom facilities, so can not state as to the conditions. Close to the Woodstock/Quechee area, much to do in the area. Many resturants, shops, and tourist areas to visit. An excellant base campground. Stayed here in a motohome.

Pine Valley RV is a 90+ site campground located directly off of RT 4 and moments from RT 89 in scenic Quechee, VT. The campground is relatively small but offers comfortable amenities for those who stay with them. The CG offers a small very clean pool, level sites, a small but well stocked store. Area attractions puts this campground at an ideal location for enjoying what White River Junction and the Quechee area have to offer. There is a bit of road noise heard from the front sites but the sites to the back of the CG which are terraced nicely into a hillside are very quiet indeed. The CG is quiet and offers a peaceful setting for an enjoyable stay. Facilities are well maintained and groomed. There are not planned activities for children but with the proximity of activities in the area they were not needed. Don't miss Quechee Gorge, The Quechee Village Market and Antique store (save a few hours to browse) including a Blacksmith shop with a very talented owner. Only con to our stay was shared electc and water hook ups between sites.
