The camp sites are very close together, smaller than usual, and for most part level at Pikes Peak . Water faucets are few and far between. Is one place that I use the on board water tank. A newer bath house is centrally located, with pit toilets at the end of the loop. Shaded very well, some sites don't allow the awning to be deployed. We spent a week there summer 2005 and was better than 75% full all week. The campground is not near any major highway and youngest was able to take afternoon naps without much problems. Sites 31-45 would be my choice of sites. Odd numbers back up against the woods, even allow for more room to the west. I would avoid 6-10 as they have the greatest slope and are closet to each other. Went across the river to Prairie to go to Cabelas and site seeing.

Received from Pat for visit in Jul 2005
