Our site, like much of the campground, was surrounded by big trees draped with Spanish moss. When my husband became ill, the campground manager was so helpful The campground was quiet, clean, and efficiently run. Laundry facilities were very good.

We stayed in April 2009. This is a great CG! The bath houses were always clean and the shower rooms spacious and clean as well. All sites were level and new gravel in the low spots right after the torrential rain we had. Sites are wide enough to accommodate the awning and then room beyond that for some play area. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again. We stayed in a pop-up.

The best thing about this place was how clean verything was and the large pull through sites they had. From the roads coming in to the bathhouses everthing was clean. The camp ground had a nice store and was very reasonable on there prices. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I'm sorry, I'm never comfortable when there are so many site devoted to folks who don't travel. It wasn't seedy but you can tell when they have big propane tanks next to their campers. This well run CG, has a nice pool, well run office and pull thru sites. The sites are very close and we had to backup to exit on several turns. Big Rig Handbook gives them an OK but they didn't stay in my site.

Just got back from this campground and we were very pleased. There was a lot of big RV's,travel trailers and fifth wheels there. We owned a pop-up that has air and water; however, we do not have a bathroom in ours. The bathrooms were ALWAYS clean and so were the showers. There is a bathhouse with your own private shower area (about 8 stalls) that are seperate from the bathrooms. A big plus for one of my daughters who is very pickey about her bathrooms. She loved theres. We were always able to get a shower. The people in the store were very nice and my kids really enjoyed the pool which was a good size. The pool closed at 9pm. My kids would of liked it to stay open longer but by 9pm I was ready to be done. Kids have to be accompanied to the pool by an adult which I think is great! I have a 15 year old and I could send him with the younger ones; however, I folled the rules (kids with an adult) and my son didn't mind. The store closes at 9pm just like the pool. We used the washer and dryer room a lot and that was always clean. The location is great if you are planning on doing activities in Chattanooga. The campground is close to 75. You can also buy RockCity/Incline/Ruby Falls tickets at the campground store. The site we had was a pull through that is graveled. Our site had a fire pit area as well. We had a couple of ants and roaches late at night but took care of it right away with ant and roach killer. I think if you don't leave food out all day/night your pretty safe. Most of the sites had a least one tree to give shade. We never really got hot but we have air condition. There are placed for tents(which seem well shaded) and I saw one or two other pop-ups in a back up across from the tents. I think those pop-ups didn't need water hook-up so they were placed there. The campground has a little playground for the kids with swings and there is also a horseshoe area. Check-in was a breeze! They gave us brochure that explained the rules and they gave us a map to get to near by attractions. There is so much to do in Chattanooga so we were ALWAYS busy. I would highly recommend this place and believe me I have a very pickey 12 year old girl that was very happy with how clean it was! Sorry we didn't take pictures of the campgroudn since I took so many pictures in the areas we visited. BTW the campground is on a civil war battlefiedl area which my husband ( a big history buff) loved!

We stayed here because we were getting warranty work done on the RV at Shipps RV just on the other side of the interstate; Actually, we tried the nearest state park since we did not want to stay in an RV park, but we could not find a level spot large enough, so this park was a last minute change of plans This is a decent RV park, but it is just that - an RV park; There are a surprising number of trees in this park surrounded by commercial and residential area; There is an older section and a newer section; The older section was filled with long-term stays and the newer section rotated transients daily; The space between sites was small and the noise from I-75 was pretty loud. No problem with the biggest rigs; Yet the sites are narrow and right on top of each other which can be an issue when turning and pulling out of the small spaces. Very nice folks in the office; The bathhouse was excellent and very clean - nice private showers; Our biggest issues were the narrow sites and the noise; Not only did we have the interstate nearby, but the locals drove loud ATVs on the road right behind the park and there is a race track within range to top things off. Overall, this campground has nice facilities and it was convenient for our service appointment which was stretched out over a week because parts did not come in. However, we didn't enjoy being there at all. Our journey is not just about finding a place to park and we certainly are not looking to pay above our budget for interstate stopovers. But as much as we disliked staying here, we must give this park some credit for its complete, well-maintained facilities, the friendly staff, and the discounts which eased the pain to the budget.

Restrooms & Showers, CATV, dump station, public phone, laundry, RV supplies, LP gas, firewood, pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, rec hall, game room, playground, rec field. They also have tent sites and rental camping cabins. The park was in the flight path of the airport. The office gives out an excellent handout with information and directions on local attractions. There is the Chattanooga/Chickamauga National Military Park. Also the Tennessee Aquarium, Imax, Creative Discovery Museum, Rock City Gardens, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain Incline Railway. Also a number of nearby malls. Lots to keep you busy. This park was actually on an old civil war battlefield. They had a video in the office you could watch about the battle. Also you could walk down a path to a monument to the 84th Indiana Volunteer Regiment. The monument was placed there after the Civil War by some of the men of that regiment who became famous for their fighting in the Chattanooga area. Park very easy to get into. Interior roads were well maintained gravel. The park was very pretty with lots of trees and flowers. The personnel were all very friendly and helpful. Park was well maintained. Everything was kept clean. Easy to get out of and back to the Interstate.
