||This state park was at a good stopping point on our route from Indiana to Ankeny, Iowa to teach at Life On Wheels. There were other private campgrounds/RV parks in the area, but we just prefer the more natural setting and this was our best choice.
This was an old, wooded campground with a lake on one side and wooded state park land all around. It is isolated, quiet, and several miles from the nearest town.
Could handle any size rig, but the old sites are rather small so tow vehicles and toads have to be squeezed sideways onto the front of the sites. Adequate for big rigs, but not the best. This was an old campground with only electric hook-ups. The bathhouses were adequate and fairly clean for their age and condition. Nothing spectacular here, but the price was right. |
