We had a great stay at Hiddnite Family Campground. The Bath house was very clean and new. The staff was very friendly. We were 3 ladies camping togther and we felt very safe.

We stayed with our Cub Scout Pack in the group camping area with a nice, large open pavillion (has electricity, lights, and water). Bathrooms are 'dated' and need renovation, but they were clean enough for tent camping and scouts! Not one of the boys complained...the toilets flush, the sinks and showers work...just not attractive. A little bit of a walk accross a field from our campsite to the bath house. The boys enjoyed the farm animals, and the creek that runs behind the campsite. There is also a large field for frisbee and other group games. We would recommend this campground for any school or scout group!

This place would be great if they would clean the bathhouse, it is filthy and unhealthy, period. The numerous full time resident trailers that are true eyesores. The pictures on the website are a misrepresentation. NOT RECOMMENDED !!

Nice campground and the petting zoo was great. People were very friendly. The only drawback is the bathrooms. We stayed in a pop-up and had to use the public restroom. I would only stay there again if I had a RV with a bathroom.

It is a small, beautiful campground. It's secluded. Good place to get away from it all. My only complaint is the bathhouse is not what it should be. Not clean enough. Ran out of toilet paper & paper towels every day we were there. There were doors on the ladies bathroom stalls but no locks. The showers were not kept clean and sanitary. Only one shower door would lock; the other shower door was warped and could not pull all the way to. The men's bathroom also had no locks on the stalls; no place to hang clothes; not clean either. We will not return only because of the bathhouse.

My family had a great time at the camprounds. We had a family reunion there on the 23rd. The staff was great with helping us with anything we needed. Before we left we made reservations for next year. Thanks to the staff.. Kenyon Family Myrtle Beach SC

This is a very quiet family run campground. There are plenty of things for the children to do. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this campground to almost everyone. The Matheson and Ladd families love it.

Very Very nice family running the campground. Austin and Amber loved feeding the animals and hated to leave them. Can't wait to see a picture of Nuggets baby when it arrives soon. Very peaceful campground. Thanks so much for a great camping trip. Austin and Amber said to tell the animals they miss them and hello. Thanks! The Carbo Family

Very nice little campground and the owners are very helpful and courteous. I really enjoyed camping there and plan to go again next spring. I prefer these smaller family owned campgrounds. An inexpensive way to escape the hustle and bustle associated with larger campgrounds.

A very nice campground nestled against the Yadkin river. The entrance road tends to be bumpy but managable. The owners are very friendly and honestly care about their campers. The small zoo with goats, minature horses and pot bellied pigs was a hit with my wife and daughter. The campgrounds proximity to the local emerald mine makes this site a hit for my family.

Small campground with a lot of permanent campers. There is no store at the campground but Food Lion and Walmart are a short distance away. This CG is about 5 miles from the Hiddenite Gem Mine and is only about an hour and 1/2 away from Boone. Statesville is 15 miles away. The owners are very friendly and run a tight ship. Music and noise are kept to a minimum after 10pm. Very nice trails through the woods. There is a nice pool area and playground. They also have a basketball hoop, volleyball, and horseshoes. I would stay here again if I were in the are but I would not make this campground a destination.
