As far as RV parks go, this place was very nice. It is surrounded by Redwoods and has a lot of trails to hike. We hiked into Henry Cowel SP which the park border shares with the RV park. We also hiked to Roaring Camp and did the train ride. My three year old loved it. They had the Civil War reinactment going on too. In fact when I was setting up on Friday I heard this loud boom! Looked up at the sky and thought there is no clouds around how could there be thundar. After I heard several booms at a time, I realized it was cannons at Roaring Camp. The park has nice facilites and a nice pool. To cold for me to swim but my niece did. You can also walk to the San Lorenzo River but it was too darn cold also. The sites are not too crowded in some areas but other rows are a bit close together. One anyoing thing was my site and my brothers had a shared utility pole and only one 30 amp hookup. I would go here again but not often due to the $44 a night fee.

Received from Nick for visit in May 2006
