This is is a great full service campground with friendly staff. The grounds were clean. We stayed in a spot close to the pool and playground. The hookups were all together and easy to access. They also have tennis and basketball courts. The playground had one big slide, swings, and a hamster wheel. We had a great time riding our bikes around the park...there are big open spaces between the trees on the property. Our neighbors even found a way to ride down to the river. The arcade was just ok. The games were old and a lot were not working, but it kept our 6 year old entertained for awhile. There was also a pool table and air hockey table. They have planned activities on certain days of the week, although we were not there on any of those days. We did not use the restrooms or showers so I can't comment on them. The location is great!! The spots are on dirt so it does get dusty, but it wasn't too bad. This campground was much nicer than the KOA one we stayed at in the same area on previous nights. We will return to the campground.

We've spent several summers at TVCG and will come back. It's not the best CG we've been to, it's 2 miles from the lake, it can be dusty, and air-quality can be worse than LA's (when the weekend tenters all light their campfires!). But, it's in Lake Tahoe! And, most sites are shaded by tall pines; it's the only decent full service CG here that allows long stays; it has a pool, tennis, basketball, playground and hiking trails; and friendly, helpful mgmt. Hey, Mon-Fri it's a little piece of heaven!

The campground has about 350 sites and is right across the street from the lake. It has a pool, pool tables, tennis, volleyball and movies in a big tent near the office. It is near Highways 50 and 89. It is only a few miles from the casinos and restaurants, but since it is located in tall pines it can still be a camping experience. It's good for families but the two of us love it, too.
