Stayed here as a last resort - would have had a better stay in the Walmart parking lot. Roads all around the campground are extremly DUSTY - feel really sorry for the tent campers. Showers were small and poorly maintained - and not enough for the number of sites that they have. Pool is VERY small - and leaves from from the trees surrounding the pool were in the pool. We have stayed at a number of KOAs and this is the worst one that we have ever experienced. We camped in a motorhome.

Dusty. Snakes - poisonous. Incessantly barking dog - campground owner ignored. Sewage treatment plant water flows into campground pond. WiFi goes out of commission frequently & is pay only WiFI & very expensive. Bad experience.

Only the relatively small number of planned activities and on-site recreational opportunities prevented this wonderful campground from achieving the highest possible rating. The facilities (rest rooms, laundry, pool, and playground) were extremely clean and well-maintained; the staff was most helpful; there is a separate, lakeside tenting area, one complete with a communal kitchen and dining enclosure; security was excellent; two pleasant beaches were within a five mile radius, and Myrtle Beach was within a half-hour drive; and the quiet hours were truly quiet! While the (gravel/dirt) access road was somewhat dusty, we were informed that this will be soon be remedied by the planned paving of the road. All in all, this campground provided a superb base for our group of 10, a group which included both young children and teens, and we would most definitely return.
