Campground is on the shores of Lake Erie. Campsites have no shade. Detroit Edison smokestacks are in full view of camping, which greatly detracts from the camping experience.

Good for short weekend trips. No trees. Bathrooms were clean. Don't bother w/ your awning. To much wind being on the lake. Lots of good fishing. The beach and inland lakes were filthy w/ litter (so sad). Pigs just can't clean up after themselves. I like having the feeling of being "away from it all." This place didn't give me that feeling as I stared to the left and saw smoke stacks for the Edison plant. So I looked to the right.....and saw the nuclear plant. Maybe that explains all the dead fish on the beach? Sites are more modern than most state parks you'll visit. They have full hookups (sewer, water, electric) at some sites which is basically unheard of for Michigan State Parks.

Nice big fire rings, close to water. Watch out for the wind. It picks up in no time. Make sure awning is secure. Bathrooms are very clean and the park is well taken care of. Lots of hiking/biking trails. and full service sites are a plus in a state park!

Great campground located on Lake Erie with paved sites. All sites have electric and some are full hook-up. Some sites are also pull-through. Nice beach. Beautiful boat launch and fish cleaning station. Great fishing.
