Absolutely the most beautifully maintained campground we have ever been to. VERY nice staff too. The sites are landscaped and neat and clean. We loved that you can ride around on a golf cart and pick out your site. Great concept! A truely 5 STAR place. A truely wonderful park with tons to do and Hilton Head public beaches VERY close by. We love it at this RV Park. They do a great job

Immaculate with beautiful landscaping. I've been to places I prefer, but none is more classy. Lovely ICW water view from some sites and common areas, a pool and restaurant. Near the entrance to the island, and well away from the noise and insanity. Large playground, two pools, two waterfront tennis courts - not bad for $45. Condo sites are occupied by owners about 25 percent of the time. Stores of EVERY sort within miles. A perfect spot for people who aren't into "camping in the woods" - no awning lights allowed. The earlier review IS accurate, but told from a different point of view. HH is a big-time resort!

Beautiful park with a few sites on the harbor. Good paved roads and lovely landscaping and paved sites. A majority of the sites are owned, but rented to transients. Wireless was only available at the office but we were told the whole park will be wireless this Spring. The office staff were courteous and hospitable towards everyone who came in. The sites are easy to maneuver a large rig into; however, the main entrance into the park is a little tight. There is a restaurant on location, but it is fairly expensive. Many of the sites being renovated, especially those with dock access. The playground and pool areas are well-maintained, but I don't believe there are any planned activities for families. Hilton Head Island, however, has so much to offer for any age group. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent a week here. I have three comments. 1) The waterfront sites give you a great view of the small marina. 2) Be prepared to encounter HUGE traffic jams. It is difficult to make a left out of the resort because of traffic leaving the island, and we measured a nine-mile backup on a Monday morning of cars coming onto the island. While they are widening the roadway from two to three lanes, there was no construction going on that day and both lanes were open (no accidents either). 3) While the office staff were friendly and helpful, the residents were very distant. "Good mornings" were exchanged but seemed cool and distant when compared to other campgrounds we've encountered. As for sight-seeing on Hilton Head, be prepared for armed guards at the entrances of some of the "Plantations" (private, gated communities); and you actually have to pay $5 to enter one of them. It is doubtful we would ever go back there.
