We have stayed at this campground several times. It is clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bath houses are spacious and clean. It is basically paved all over. We had more than enought space. The camp is easy to find- right off the highway. We went to the lake to fish. This not a real fishing kind of park. But everything else is find. This is where we will stay each time we visit SC. On our first visit to SC, we had made reservations at another park and was not satisfied. We were real pleased when they took us without a reservation and gave us a good space. The traffic on the highway makes it difficult to cross over when leaving the camp.

We stayed here for four nights. There was some kind of miscommunication about our arrival date and we were greeted in a very curt manner by the office help (the same person who made our reservation). I was told during the reservation process they did not reserve specific lots, and would place us in a location that was suitable for our 41' motorhome since we had no previous knowledge of the facility. Their web site was no help at all. We ended up in a location that was nothing but dirt. We asked to be moved, but were told that all of the other locations were reserved - interesting since we were told they didn't reserve specific sites. Needless to say we observed several nice sites during our stay that were never occupied during our stay. Overall the campground was well kept. It was realitively quiet and family oriented. Had it not been for the lack of effort on the part of the office staff to work with us, we probably would stay here again. We visited the James County campground during our visit, and will definitely stay there on our next visit.

Very nice campground. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean bathhouses with good privacy for showering. Very well groomed landscape. Level, paved interior roads with plenty of room for wide turns. Many sites had concrete pads for the RV. Most sites were pull thrus and well shaded. Limited TV reception without satellite hookup and no cable TV available. (Otherwise the rating would be a 5!) Pool was very clean but a little small for such a large campground. Good location if sightseeing in the Charleston area.

Nice campground, management enforces the rules about dogs thank goodness. We had a concrete pad and no problem getting in and out. My only issue was that we were very close to our neighbors and with our slides out (we have slides on both sides) it created a small alley.Campground is very accessable to the sites and the office provided us with a nice package. We were also able to keep a second vechicle on our site for no additional cost.

Nothing special about the CG but the owner and his employees were very nice. Very close to downtown Charleston. Would stay there again.
