Good natural setting state park campground that we found on our way to the Buffalo National River. The setting is a new wooded campground loop; very quiet except that it sits too close to a rural "spur" road for local access; Other than that, nothing but woods around. Rooftop satellite options were limited; Friendly staff; Bathhouses were very nice and clean; Website is very nice; War Eagle Creek just outside of the park is a nice canoeing river and there is a good one mile hiking trail that runs along the creek; Wal-mart and laundry in nearby Huntsville. Probably would have given this an 4 if not for the close proximity of the road and if the sites had been just a little bigger. However, we were very happy to find a paved, full hook-up campground in such a rural state park. Great stopping point while traveling through the northwest Arkansas Ozarks.

Very nice Ga state park. Many large pull through sites. Water and Elec only. Most of the sites are large and private. This is a great cool weather campground. Gnats and mosquitos are bad in summer. Savannah is just a short drive to the north. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

So GORGEOUS! Pristine campsites, 30 new sites have w/e/s, and the older part has 17 with w/e. Nice bath house. Lots of bees. Concrete patio, pole to hang lantern on, creek, lots to do in area. We took the War Eagle Creek hike, that's a picture where we rested on the hike. They give disabled vets 50% discount. The road from there down to the interstate is a white-knuckled ride, though!
