I just stayed at the Sea Pirate for two nights in a bare bones cabin with my sons cub scout pack. The pool was clean and my children loved it. The bathrooms are spotless. Cleanest bathroom I have ever seen at a campground. The staff was very pleasant and helpful when you have a question. We were all very happy with how clean everything was. As for what a previous person posted about the staff being rude and the "sea pirate police" it couldnt be further from the truth. I appreciated the strict rules about no alcohol at public areas, since I was with my family that included young children. The campground is very family oriented with lots of planned activities for the whole family. We had a flashlight lollypop hunt one night and bingo by the pool the next day. They also showed a movie one night, but we didnt go. The only down side were the pine flies, but that is just south jersey for ya, nothing the campground can do about it. We would definitely return

We stayed here July 2010. We had three couples and five children 1-9 yrs old. First I have to start by saying when calling there the lady was a bit rude. We did not pay any attention to it and booked. The tent sites were small, the OWNER which was a small woman and I forget her name was outright rude to the children I observed her at the pool and the store. VERY RUDE!!!! I also had a run in with the owner in regards to the just two year old with us peeing outside (he is being potty trained)she said it was inappropriate to use a bathroom. He could not make it. Overall the pool was nice and big, but some pretty nasty stuff in the water, Playground was ok and great for little ones, and the game room is nice but it is up front next to owner and she is so rude to the kids coming in and out of the store. I would not allow my nine year old up there by himself...There are many rules at this place and they are Strictly ENFORCED....they randomly drive by at all hours to check the campsites and make sure you are abiding by the rules. WE had our radio on and very low and what we called the Sea Pirate police pulled up at 11pm the gentleman was really nice but really? We were not loud we even went as far as to go to next campsite that had campers and you could not hear it. I under stand no alcohol off campsite rule as many campgrounds have that rule but it is not enforced. Oh well hear it is, very much so.. We went to play ground with our children about 9:30pm and there were two ladies mid to late forties swinging and chatting like women do and they were sipping on beer well here came Sea Pirate Police and a woman came off the golf cart thing yelling "you should know better at your age" and went on and on like they were children...they were not bothering anyone they were not loud and rowdy ....this place is just very very strict. The pond was very small and the kids did not catch anything...We did see miniature sunnys but that is about it. Facilities were definitely clean and in teh back of the campground it is nice....Overall I would not come here again. They are very strict and the owner and one of the employees were rude, even the employees that worked upfront rolled her eyes at the owner so you know they do not have a happy job. I would recommend hospitality creek in Williamstown they are not as ude or strict and it is cheaper and you can stay all day on check out day. At Sea Pirate if you are not out by 1pm they charge you half another night..

Great Campground for a family weekend away. We've stayed here several times over the past 5 years and continue to return each year atleast twice. Friendly staff, quiet campground, many activities for the kids, very clean and trustworthy. Nice sites in the 500 area for larger campers. We are approx. 55 ft front to back and pull right through and have no trouble getting in or out. Very spacious sites with nice shade. Highly recommend.

Typical NJ shore area campground. Lots of seasonal sites, most had not arrived yet when we were there. Mostly dirt roads that did get dusty, would say campground was 1/3 occupied with the seasonals and weekenders like us when there. Site was large and had no problem getting to it or fitting with our 38 ft MH, though sites on either side were empty would say averge 30 ft. wide. Sites in the 500 section seemed easier for big rigs and a little larger. All had large pine or oak trees for shade and 50 amp electric/water(check website for sewer). Tuckerton Seaport is an interesting day trip for young and old. Very pet and kid friendly. Also for those with dogs that like water 1/4 mile south on rt 9 is Dock Rd that leads to a small sandy beach in Barneget Bay.
