We had a wonderful time tenting here! This was a well taken care of park and the public use areas were kept very clean. Hiking is absolutely a must and they have trails for everyone. The best ones are a little tougher to get to. I recommend this as a must stay! This is very family orientated.

We have been camping at Letchworth since 02 after we had a terrible experience at Stony Brook. Letchworth is a great park, well kept and quite. Nice play ground for the kids, camp store, two pools and lots of hiking and bike trails.

Letchworth State Park is a spectacular park. The park is very large and expansive. There are several areas for camping - tents, travel trailers, etc. as well as some very nice cabins. Our family has camped here both in our RV as well as in a cabin in the "off" season. Terrific facilities and beautiful views! There is something here for everyone! Swimming, hiking, kayaking, etc. plus an Inn that serves great food. This park rates as one of the best in New York state. If you are nearby, check it out. You will not be disappointed!

This park is a must visit and I would stay right there rather than elsewhere. There are 2 pools in the park and as was mentioned you will want to drive to them but both have plenty of parking. The park is HUGE to say the least and if you really want to enjoy it you will need to drive the length of it to see all the sites. There are several waterfalls that are stunning, lookouts with descriptions of the area and wildlife, 2 pools, a wonderful restaurant, a dam, a train bridge that many walk out onto to look at the gorge (beware it is active and very high!) and plenty of hiking trails from short to long to meet everyones desires. IMO this is the BEST state park in New York.
