STAYED MAY 4-6 2012 Outdoor World’s Harbor View campground is located approximately 6 miles from Colonial Beach Virginia and is certainly a hidden treasure! The place is older, but well cared for. The campsites are beautiful LEVEL grassy treed sites with concrete pads. The sites range from several pull-thru sites w/50 amp for the larger rigs to private woodsy location tent sites, and everything else in between. A large swimming pool and the flat lay of the land lends well to walking and bicycling. An onsite catch and release pond adds to the thrill of the campout! My husband and I have enjoyed Harbor View for several years. The facility is under NEW MANAGEMENT this year and the planned events and outlook of the new manager certainly sound excited! PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR GPS TO GET TO THIS FACILITY – CALL THE CAMPGROUND, THE GPS IS NOT CORRECT!

Stayed here four nights in August, on one of the pull through sites (35). Sites are pretty level, dirt and shaded. All full hookup (W/S/E) with 50 amp available in some. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well maintained. Pool was excellent. Kiddie pool looked nice too. New playground next to office, teatherball, mini-golf, basketball court, tennis court. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Camped in popup trailer.

This is is a great full service campground with friendly staff. The grounds were clean. We stayed in a spot close to the pool and playground. The hookups were all together and easy to access. They also have tennis and basketball courts. The playground had one big slide, swings, and a hamster wheel. We had a great time riding our bikes around the park...there are big open spaces between the trees on the property. Our neighbors even found a way to ride down to the river. The arcade was just ok. The games were old and a lot were not working, but it kept our 6 year old entertained for awhile. There was also a pool table and air hockey table. They have planned activities on certain days of the week, although we were not there on any of those days. We did not use the restrooms or showers so I can't comment on them. The location is great!! The spots are on dirt so it does get dusty, but it wasn't too bad. This campground was much nicer than the KOA one we stayed at in the same area on previous nights. We will return to the campground.

We actually just drove through there a few weeks ago. It's a membership campground that allows you to try it out twice (I think) before having to commit to it. Rates were around $25.00 a night, camping for the whole season was around $325.00. Nice clean facility, sites were laid out a little strange and were not that large, especially if you have slideouts, but they were manageable. They had a nice pool, an overgrown tennis court that looked like it was or had been converted to mini golf. We drove through on a Saturday in late May and it was not crowded at all. They advertise activities, but we saw nothing going on when we were there. People running it seemed nice enough.
