We have stayed at quite a few campgrounds over the years and have always found the owners overly friendly and very informative as to things to do in the area ,then we stayed at Twin Tamarack. I think the owner John hates his job and basically hates people. I heard someone ask him about a good place to go fishing and he said how would I know I dont fish. As far as the campground it is clean and the bathrooms are too but you can find that alot of places along with feeling like they actually want you there.I think he needs to find his smile maybe he should start fishing that makes me smile

John the owner is crabby. The no noise rule after 11pm is redick, you cant even talk. 1105pm and John was dumping water on fires. But he did nothing about the neighbors smoking dope - just ignored it saying it was cigarettes. Bathrooms are clean. Beach is nice, but the year-round campers on the other side of the road, drink and carry on like animals. Things could be monitored better, watch your kids. I will not go back there, too many rules and too much attitude from the owners.

We arrived not knowing what to expect as we were reserved by another couple so we had no knowledge of the campground. The campground is very clean, the staff were all VERY friendly and welcoming, there is a mix of very wooded sites and more open and sunny sites. Our site was nicely wooded albeit a bit on the smaller side but it did meet our needs. We have a very large pop-up so when you make reservations if you just say "Pop-up camper" you get a smaller site no matter where you are... They have a nice pool, and many fun activities for the kids. The lake is georgeous and the fishing was awesome. The one downside is as posted above the lake is across Rt. 104 and can be a pain to get too (and sometimes downright scary...). Overall we had a great time and would stay again.

Campground is wooded and well set up. Many large boulders make this a young boy and girls adventure playground. The Campground is easily navigated even with a big rig. The campground was very clean, the restrooms are modern, clean and never seem to be out of toilet paper. The pool and hot tub are nice. One thing We did not like was that the website did not make clear, the location of the lake. Nor did we ask the about the lake and or beach When we made reservations. Unfortunately we found it is across RT 104 which leads to Meredith and tends to be very busy. Not a road for kids to cross without supervision. Other than that we were happy with our stay.
