We spent three weeks at the Ventura Beach RV Park from January 8th through January 30th and what an enjoyable stay it was. When we arrived we were cheerfully greeted by two women who made the check-in process very enjoyable. After we were setup at our site the Security person stopped by to see if everything was alright. Throughout our entire stay any question or request we had from any of the staff was accepted cheerfully.
The grounds are very well maintained, just be certain to obtain the sprinkler schedule if you want to keep your outside items dry. :-)
We enjoyed the walks to the beach on the paved walkways and grocery shopping is within walking distance.
Yes, the 101 Freeway was noisy but after a time we became used to it and it was not so bothersome.

This park sit along Hwy 101. At 4 a.m. the trucks are so loud it seems they are going to drive through your rig. The other aspects of the park are OK. They did have a great Thanksgiving dinner.

We spent a weekend here in September 2010, AFTER the Labor Day weekend. The noise from the 101 freeway and the trains made it hard to sleep. This place is WAY overpriced for no cable access, and most RV parks drop prices after the last big summer weekend. I will not go back.

We stayed at the Ventura Beach RV Resort for only a short weekend. We wished we had more time to spend there. We found the services, staff and atmosphere very family and camper friendly. This resort will stay at the top of our list for return visits. The only problem is their web site says "no cable" there were some sites with that feature.

Pricey and had to listen to the freeway all day and night. But walking distance to the ocean and lots of things to do. Also had to evacuate on a rainy night because of flood warnings (be aware that's possible in winter months).
