Since I last reviewed this site, I have to report that management here is not to many people's liking. Apparently, the staff has nothing to do but harass the family camper.(They have done this to numerous people we know). They also have increased the fees. These sites are managed by American Land & Leisure.

Almost afraid to give this campground an excellent rating, I wont be able to get in. This, by far is our favorite campground, but keep it a secret. It does lack a playgound and things for the kides to do by themselves. Has high cliffs - so dont let the kids wander into the woods. Numerous walking trails. Needs to have a beach developed there for campers only. (A good spot would be at the end of the trail past the tent camping area on the far end of campground.) Needs more sites.

Sayed in Grove Recreation campground. This campground is in the Daniel Boone Natural Forest on Laural Lake in southern Kentucky. It has about 52 campsites in 3 different areas. A & C sections area have about 20 sites each and are first come first serve and B sction is a reserve section through a national toll free registration office. all of the sites include electric and water but no sewer but has a dump station at the exit and are very secluded. The sites are very large with blacktop pads and gravel eating area as well as tent pads. Several of the sites have the trailer pads and eating area on the same level, a few have a couple of steps down to the eating area and on a few sites the eating area is down a short path from the camper pad. Each section has a restroom area, but only one bath house with 3 shower stalls for the entire campground. There are campground host in each section and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The marina for Laural Lake is within walking distance via walking paths and the marina is full service including pontoon, jon boat and house boat rentals. I have stayed at this campground over 30 times in the last 8 years and will continue to go there due to the natural surroundings and the small amount of people that can camp there due to it's size. Even when full it is very peaceful.
