The only thing the owner is interested in is lining his pockets with your money. We talked with 4 individuals and all were charged different rates. We payed almost $100 a night. And we heard he is raising his rates because he knows all the other parks in the area are full. Others were charged anywhere from $60 to $80. We asked to have the same rate as others and I was told no way. The roads are dusty, ruts in the grass with uneven gravel sites. The showers are not sanitary and the laundry area needs updating. The diesel and gas prices are highly inflated. No fire rings, just a little hole in the ground right next to your door. The view is great but can be enjoyed elsewhere, without the hassle.

In June of 2004 I camped in Jenny Lake Campground in Grand Teton Natl Park. Jenny Lake is a first come/ first served campground, plus no RV's or trailers/pop-ups are allowed. So Jenny Lake only serves tent campers or people sleeping in their pickups or vans. The park service information says that Jenny Lake fills up early, and recommends an early arrival for site selection. I arrived around 1PM and Jenny Lake Campground was at the most 1/3 occupied and this didn't change much, lots of available camp sites that night. I was there in early June and Grand Teton is still pretty chilly at that time, temps in the 30's overnight and in the 60's during the day. Grand Teton NP is bear country, so a steel box is provided at each camp site. I never saw any indication or trace of bears, but am willing to believe the park service on this subject. All of my gear went into that bear box overnight. The park service has a small grocery store at Jenny Lake, plus a tourist boat service for boat rides on Jenny Lake. The campsites were very nice with a table, bear box, a nearby water faucet and an improved spot to pitch your tent. The road though the campground is paved. The restroom facilities had real toilets and cold running water for washing up. The restroom was well kept up when I was there. I really liked this campground and recommend it.
