My visit was from July 1st through July 7th, 2007. Nice clean bath houses. The park in general is a nice place. Red River runs threw the middle of the park and camp sights are available along the river bank. The river looks clear and clean. But the park is run like a German WW2 internment camp. Guards were always asking what I'm doing there, even just after taking my money for a weeks worth of payment. I got harassed by the owner for walking threw park one morning. He wanted to know why I was walking threw (I paid for a week. That's 7 days). It's my opinion the park owner is paranoid and trying to protect him self from something. The lake looks nasty. I don't recommend eating trout from the lake (pond). I won't be staying there ever again. I can't recommend the place. There are lots of friendlier places to stay in Red River.

We stayed here late in the season over a weekend. The park was nice and had good facilities. There is a pond that has free fishing of patrons. We were Jeeping in the mountains that weekend and needed a place to park until early afternoon on Sunday. I asked in the office about disconnecting from the utilites and leaving my rig there past hte 11AM checkout. He immediately sited the late fees that would apply. The park was near empty at the time and they did not have a reservation for the next night. If they had let me stay without a late fee, I would have recommended them, but now I will never return and advise others to avoid this place as well.
