Where is the money!!!! Weeds, small, cramped lots. Power boxes not 50amp. Roads torn up, no water pressure in bath houses. Why is this park in such bad shape. And since you have raised the fee for camping what have you done for the park lately. The system you have for assigning lots is so cave man. Why not use tablet and stone.

Smalllest campsites I have ever seen, cramped together, not marked well. Kids run wild throughout the park and especially dangerous at night as they will walk or ride out in front of you. Bathhouses not cleaned or restocked on weekends apparently. Boat docks other than at marina have no cleats for tying up and no bumpers. Staff is rude and have only one answer for any question, "thats the rule". Will not reserve any sites. if you are getting multiple sites remember that you MUST (again MUST) set up a camper or sleeeping style tent on all sites immediately upon check in or the site will be rented out from under you. Loved Lake Martin, hated the park, will not return there except to use the marina facilaties in the future.

Small, small, small sites. This campground has more than 600 sites. During the recent renovations, the larger sites were made smaller to accomodate more people. Lots of people, very close together, with little shade, in July, in Alabama, equals little fun. Children are permitted to ride bikes any where in the campground (including the boat launch area) without helments!! The bath houses are not cleaned nearly often enough. Beautiful, lake and friendly staff can not overcome the shortcommings of this too crowded park.

We love Wind Creek! Our stay was during Spring Break for some school systems. There were a lot of children in the campground, but it never got noisy. They are in the process of doing some upgrades to the park, cutting down trees to make sites larger, adding more sewer sites, and adding 50 amp service. There was a concert Saturday night. The new management is working on improving things! We can't wait to go back!

Wind Creek State Park is situated on Lake Martin in central Alabama. Of 600+ sites, most have a beautiful view of the lake. Full hookups are available but most are W & E. When we stayed there, there were no internet connections. Facilities are typical of most state parks but the setting is exception.
