The bathrooms were fairly clean. The sites were too close together. You could hear the highway traffic from I80. Would not stay there again.

The woman at check-in was extremely nice and helpful, especially since we were later arriving than anticipated. We are a 45 ft motorhome towing a trailer, and had no problem getting into the site. Free WIFI. One problem we had was that due to our trailer, we were unable to reach the sewer hook-up. No cable tv, and our satellite was apparently blocked by a tree. Oh well! It's supposed to be camping, right! We would probably stay again if in the area. W

Large level pull-thrus and back-ins on gravel, full hook-ups, some sites in shade and some in open, free WiFi reaches most sites. Inexpensive.

Hickory Hollow is a very clean and well kept campground. They have large pull-throughs for big RV's. The ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful. The campground has many nice trees for shade and the bathrooms and showers were very clean. We are now planning to have our family reunion there.

Road noise would be a problem for the pullthrough sites; we camped in the back-ins with elec/water hookups. Very narrow sites, hard for everyone to keep from encroaching on neighbors' "territory." Some awesome tent sites in the woods, though, and the cabins look nice (and have their own plumbing, a step up from KOA cabins.)

I have been at this park a number of times. It is a stop for my wife and I when we go out west. The park is clean and well maintained. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Hookups are easy, sites are level.A lot of sites are in tall trees. We love the pool to relax in after driveing through Chicago. Pool could ge open a little longer in the evening. It is close to I80 but well worth the stop.

I like quiet campgrounds and expected such since I went during the week. Too bad the traffic noise from I-80 ruined it for me. Otherwise it is a nice campground, fairly clean, and really close to Starved Rock State Park.
