This resort, about 14 miles west of Myrtle Beach, has 60+ full hookup sites that are - very large and nestled in the tall trees or set along a gorgeous lake. We stayed for 3 weeks in 2 different sites. Site 8 (lakefront) and Site 16 (Lakefront/hot tub). Paved sites/roads. 90% of the sites have new cement patios - all have very large fire rings - firewood 4 sale at the office. 40+ new sites were under construction - with completion expected in the fall of 2006. The pool and community hot tub - open all year. The resort property is massive and absolutely beautiful - far away from major highways - tall trees line the perimeter. Entrance to the park (gated at night) is off 905 - 1 mile back - a beautiful drive. The lake path is 1 mile and marked in feet for those who like to keep track of their distance. Canoes, paddle boats and a few golf carts for rent. Our 1st week site (#8) was beside a path to the small bridge to the main office / pool area. Though traffic along this route not too bad this time of year - it could be a nuisance during the peak season. The bathhouse consists of 8 separate rooms (1 handicap accessible) with separate doors - deadbolt locks. Stool and sink, large fiberglass shower w/2 seats, wood bench and shelfs in changing area. Large lights at each bath door - so campsites near here might not like the bright lights at night. This resort offers winter and pre-season discount rates -- so you can get a lakefront site for 28/night in the winter. No cable here but satellite worked fine - 30 min/day free WiFi after that you must pay $5.95/day, $25/Week or $35/month. Signal strength varied @ site 8 - from excellent to good. Signal strength @ site 16 - consistently very good. Resort is installing a bigger WiFi satellite to improve service and no doubt to reach the new sites. Though the premium and lakefront sites are really expensive during peak season - they are spectacular. Many of the fun sites (middle of the CG) are really nice - but i would avoid the last 2 rows -if you want shade. Sites opposite the lake are closer to current construction - and an issue only M-F until after Fall 2006. The bike/walking paths are outstanding. 1st pic sites 8 / 7 (left to right); 2nd/3rd pic site 16; Last pic view from lake pathway. Outstanding resort - we will visit often.
