Governor Dodge is wonderful. The park is gorgeous, with rolling hills and lots of space. The campgrounds are really nice with clean shower houses, and most of the sites are wooded. Site 237 was great -- private and a short stroll to the shower house. Plus, you have two lakes both with beaches, a waterfall, and lots of trails. You are also a short distance to Dodgeville and the Military Ridge bike trail that is over 40 miles long. You can bike Military Ridge trail from the park, but is extremely steep and we gave up the one day we tried it. And we never saw anyone else on the connector trail. This is a great place to camp; one of my favorites.
